Chocolove Debuts New Packaging Designed for Carb Counters & Chocolate Connoisseurs
Chocolove, a premium Belgian chocolate bar maker, launched new packaging that boldly declares cocoa content for chocolate connoisseurs and carb counters. Chocolove's ten decadent bars range from a sweet, creamy Milk Chocolate bar with a 33% cocoa content up to an Extra Strong Dark Chocolate bar with an impressively strong yet smooth 77% cocoa content.
Boulder, CO December 8, 2004 -- Running as smooth as melted cocoa butter, Chocoloves custom chocolate factory is now in full production. Designed and built by Chocolove's owner and founder, Tim Moley, the new 10,000 square foot chocolate factory combines the best of hands-on, European-style chocolate making with state-of-the-art technology.
"Chocolove's new production facility is a departure from current manufacturing trends that outsource production overseas and south of the border," says Moley. "The new factory allows us to maintain optimal product quality and respond immediately to any problems on the production line. Chocolove bars are now literally made-to-order, stored very briefly in our temperature controlled facility and shipped almost immediately to our distributors and wholesalers. Our new process helps minimize the types of damage typical to transit and storage which other chocolate manufacturers may encounter. The result is some of the freshest chocolate on the market for the best consumer experience possible."
Along with the new factory, Chocolove rolled out a new bar shape, new wrappers and new shelf packaging. The new bar shape features curvaceous bite size squares that offer a more pleasurable sensation to the consumer's palate. Each square features Chocoloves trademarked heart insignia. The alluring new bar shape is distinctly wrapped in a design reminiscent of love letters complete with a classic love poem. Cocoa percentages are boldly declared on the front of each wrapper for easy identification.
"The larger cocoa percent on the wrapper makes it even easier for our consumers to recognize cocoa content in the bars. Our Rich Dark 65%, Strong Dark 70% and Extra Strong Dark 77% bars are especially popular with consumers watching their carbohydrate count. The higher the cocoa content, the lower the net carbohydrates," says Moley.
For the retailer, Chocolove's new slide rite 12-pack carton is even easier to stock. Designed by Chocolove's owner, Tim Moley, it complements the distinct wrapper design and elegantly displays the new bars. The original design won a Gold Award at the National Paperbox Association 54 the annual packaging competition as an outstanding example of progressive packaging for the year 2003. Moley was also presented with a Gold Award for graphic design.
